Meet the Team

Meet James Hawkins

Hi, I’m Jim. I’ve been an electrician for 54 years, and we’ve been proudly serving the community through Precision Electric Inc. since 1988. After all this time, I still enjoy what I do. For me, being an electrician is fun because I get to meet people, solve problems, and help bring their electrical systems back to life.

I especially enjoy landscape lighting; there’s something about the challenge and the reward of seeing a project literally “come to light” that never gets old. A fun fact about me: I have four fantastic grandkids, and they keep life interesting.

One of my favorite memories goes back to 1985, when I was working at an association. Everyone there felt like family, and they were all trying to guess whether my wife and I were having a boy or a girl. It ended up being a girl, and I loved taking her with me to work and to the supply houses when she was little.

After more than five decades in this trade, I still enjoy learning, growing, and helping people every day.

Meet Dale Widrick

Hi, I’m Dale. I handle a lot of our service work and troubleshooting, and I’ve been in the electrical trade since 1979. Even after all these years, I still enjoy learning, electricity has its own language, and there’s always something new to understand about how things work.

I’ve always been a bit mechanical, and I’ve got a mind for numbers, so electrical work fits me well. I truly enjoy what I do, especially when I can help a customer go from feeling stuck to having everything working again. Electrical issues can be complicated if you don’t know what to look for, and I take pride in being able to diagnose the problem and get things back on track.

I’ve built a long career in this trade, and I still have fun doing it every day.

Meet Tony

Tony’s favorite part of the trade is working on commercial wiring, where every project brings a new challenge. He enjoys electrical work because it allows him to problem‑solve, learn something new every day, and see the satisfaction of a job well done when everything comes together and works perfectly. A fun fact about Tony: he has a German Shorthaired Pointer named Ash, who’s almost seven and full of energy.

Even though Tony has been a professional electrician for just about a year, he’s been doing and learning for many years, and he’s embraced the work wholeheartedly. One memorable moment on the job was during a project at Jungle Gardens—an unexpected downpour left him and a coworker completely soaked, but they powered through and finished the job before heading to the nearest store for dry clothes.

We’re proud to have Tony on the Precision
